"Amongst seasoned travellers, Iran is renowned as one of the great destinations. There is just such a lot to see, from the exquisite Islamic buildings of Esfahan to the strange mud-brick towers of the ancient desert city of Yazd. However, the real reason that I have selected this trip is because of the chance it offers to see 'the other side' of Iran and meet local people. You will spend one night with nomads (no frills, in a goat hair tent!) and another with a local family in the lovely oasis city of Kashan. This is an adventurous but hugely rewarding tour."
